Beta Group: Productive Engine of Investment and Made in Italy
Beta Group, a name synonymous with Made in Italy excellence in the production of tools for mechanics specialists, industrial maintenance, and vehicle repair, organized a press tour on May 14th at its Castiglione d’Adda (LO) plant to present its investment plan.
The company, with Paolo Marinò, Technical and R&D Department Director at Beta Utensili, Davide Negroni, Plant Director, and Pamela Cardona, Communications Director, in attendance, continues to invest in national manufacturing excellence with over one million euros allocated to strengthen Made in Italy design and production.
In a global context of great uncertainty, the Group has a clear vision for its development in Italy.
This new investment of over 1 million euros will boost Beta Utensili’s Lombardy plants: the Castiglione d’Adda (Lodi) site – where some of its most iconic products are made, such as T-handle wrenches and reversible ratchets – and the historic Sovico (Monza-Brianza) plant.
Specifically, €450,000 will be allocated to Castiglione d’Adda for the purchase of a new system that will allow the internal production of certain components for torque wrenches and T-handle wrenches with swivel sockets. An additional €680,000 will be allocated to the Sovico factory by the end of the year for a new automated island for the plastic molding of handles for all manually twisted tools.
“Our Group confirms its industrial vocation and its firm commitment to continue distinguishing itself through the qualitative excellence of its products,” states Roberto Ciceri, Chairman and CEO of Beta Group. “These new investments represent a further stage in a growth path undertaken in recent years, aiming to strengthen our international leadership by betting precisely on Made in Italy manufacturing.
At the Castiglione d’Adda site – which currently employs 68 people – hirings remain stable in the face of anticipated retirements. This is a concrete sign of our commitment to ensuring production continuity and valuing young talent, also through internal training. Furthermore, the Lodi-based plant continues its journey towards sustainability: thanks to the photovoltaic system installed in 2022, over 65% of its energy needs are now covered by renewable sources, saving 500 tons of CO₂ per year.
“I am firmly convinced of the choice to invest in the Italian production chain, guaranteeing continuity to an industrial model that is already solid and recognized. This is a way of doing business founded on quality, a culture of innovation, and attention to detail: ingredients that represent the excellence of Italian know-how and are expressed in our most iconic products, a symbol of reliability for generations of professionals. These are the pillars that have always guided our development and will continue to orient our future strategic choices,” concludes Roberto Ciceri.
