At Tecnomat, the shopping carts feature GPS technology
Tecnomat equipped its store with innovative shopping carts featuring GPS technology, continuing to demonstrate its commitment to cutting-edge solutions in the construction and logistics sectors. This strategic move highlights the company’s philosophy of efficiency and security, and represents a significant step forward in preventing theft and optimizing internal logistics management.
Recently, the shopping carts at the Catania store were stolen, causing disruptions and delays for the many customers, both professionals and others, who visit daily to purchase high-quality building products from top brands. The local Tecnomat team promptly reported the theft, and the situation was successfully resolved by the Carabinieri (the Italian national gendarmerie) of Misterbianco (CT), who recovered the 14 stolen carts.
The introduction of carts with integrated satellite tracking provides real-time monitoring of each cart’s location. This capability not only improves internal warehouse logistics, allowing for more precise and rapid management of tools and materials, but it also serves as a crucial deterrent against potential theft. Constant traceability significantly reduces the risk of loss and theft, protecting Tecnomat’s investment and ensuring these essential tools are available for customers.
The initiative reflects Tecnomat’s ongoing effort to implement technological solutions that add value to both internal operations and the customer experience. The adoption of this GPS technology in the carts is a concrete example of how innovation can be applied to address practical challenges like security, while safeguarding the needs of their customers.
