Action celebrates 200 stores in Italy with 5 new openings!

Action successfully reaches the incredible milestone of 200 stores in Italy.

It is worth noting that the non-food discount chain first entered the Italian market in April 2021 and has significantly accelerated its territorial expansion in recent months, doubling its stores in just over a year.

The five new stores will open on December 6th in Aprilia (LT), Ancona, Villanterio (PV), Eboli (SA), and San Donà di Piave (VE), thus reaching a total of 200 retail locations in the country.

The five new sales points, all spacious and easily accessible, measure 801 m2 in Aprilia, 961 m2 in Ancona, 874 m2 in Villanterio, 955 m2 in Eboli, and 811 m2 in San Donà di Piave, respectively.

The teams at the new stores are made up of a variable number of colleagues, between 17 and 22, depending on the size and needs of each sales point.

The residents of the five cities will be able to discover the Action Formula: a selection of 6,000 good-quality and increasingly sustainable products across 14 product categories—from toys to DIY, from crafts to home, from gardening to food—always at the lowest possible price. Every week, 150 new products enrich the assortment, with over two-thirds of the offering priced under 2 euros.

“We are very happy to have reached the milestone of 200 stores, almost four years after the inauguration of our first store in Italy. Customers have welcomed us warmly, and we are proud to bring our formula closer and closer to them. Our success is based on a strong concept and the commitment of our teams, whom I sincerely thank, along with customers, suppliers, and everyone who supports us,” declares Philippe Levisse, General Manager of Action in Italy.

Action consistently invests in quality and sustainability, reducing greenhouse gas emissions with initiatives such as eliminating gas connections in stores by the end of 2024 and exclusively using LED lighting. All Action-branded cotton products come from sustainable sources (99% Better Cotton, 1% organic), while 100% of the wood comes from FSC® or PEFC certified forests. Furthermore, since 2022, all cocoa used in Action-branded products has been Fairtrade certified.
