Buyer Point and International Hardware Fair Italy join forces
A strategic partnership has been established to launch a landmark event for the hardware and DIY world in odd-numbered years. Koelnmesse Italia and Collins are joining forces to maximize the potential of International Hardware Fair Italy and Buyer Point. The event will take place in Bergamo on May 5 and 6, 2027.
Italian manufacturers need a meeting point that can open doors to international markets. Based on this consideration, Koelnmesse Italia, organizer of International Hardware Fair Italy, and our publishing house, organizer of Buyer Point, have decided to form a new alliance to provide the market with a single, major international event.
Buyer Point is gearing up for an edition that promises to be particularly successful, with a significant increase in participation requests and strong interest from major international distribution groups; meanwhile, the focus is already on the new developments planned for 2027.
With growing results and increasingly broad international participation, International Hardware Fair Italy confirms its position as the only event in Italy entirely dedicated to the European market for hardware, construction, DIY, industrial and electrical supplies, garden & outdoor, and automotive. Last year’s edition brought together 320 exhibitors from 22 countries and over 5,600 visitors from 53 nations, including more than 300 international buyers, generating over 350 B2B meetings and a professional program of conferences and workshops featuring more than 16 thematic sessions.
In this scenario of expansion and positive outlook, the two organizers are pooling their expertise to create a high-impact model aimed at the entire European hardware supply chain and beyond: a joint platform designed to forge strategic connections and offer companies privileged access to both national and international markets, as well as to the key players essential for growth. The collaboration stems from the integration of complementary skills that mutually reinforce one another.
On May 5 and 6, 2027, the International Hardware Fair will follow the format of its first two editions, but will feature an integrated matchmaking area where exhibiting companies can meet the majority of Italian and international buyers attending the event. Additionally, a new garden hardware area is being launched for all companies looking to expand their presence in both domestic and foreign markets.
This alliance creates a unique powerhouse within the DIY and home improvement landscape, capable of representing the entire supply chain and connecting all the market’s key players. It is a system that combines vision, expertise, and opportunity, projecting the sector toward an increasingly international dimension.

David Giardino, CEO of Collins, stated: “This collaboration enhances our respective strengths without altering the identity or structure of the two events. Buyer Point will take place as scheduled in Milan on May 27, 2026, while International Hardware Fair Italy confirms its dates for May 5 and 6, 2027, in Bergamo. This agreement allows us to further strengthen our role in facilitating encounters between buyers and companies, expanding our international reach and making the matchmaking that has always characterized our initiatives even more effective. For over ten years, Buyer Point has focused on engaging international buyers, addressing the demands of manufacturers who are always ‘hungry’ for export opportunities. We found the same philosophy in Koelnmesse Italia, and at that point, it felt natural to present a single international event to the market.”

Thomas Rosolia, CEO of Koelnmesse Italia, stated: “In a market characterized by a multitude of events and exhibitions dedicated to the hardware and related sectors, this agreement represents a decisive step toward greater clarity and a more streamlined offering. The goal is to create a single reference platform capable of maximizing exhibitors’ investments and offering visitors an appointment that is more comprehensive and representative of the market.”
